Joan Miró Library

Barcelona, 1984 - 1990

The varying section offers the most characteristic image of the building’s interior. It originates from a rectangular ground floor of constant width, and a curved mezzanine level which defines different sections at every point, thus enriching the views and perception of the space. The building, n the end destined to be a library, went through a series of program hypotheses, which from the beginning forced the project to be thought of as container for undefined uses.
